To Bee or Not to Bee is the seventh episode of Season 1 of Fetch! with Ruff Ruffman.

Summary[]

Ruff has just finished shoot his first FETCH! promo, "Busy as a Bee," but he couldn't get out of his bee costume because the zipper is broken! Bees on the brain, Ruff send Anna and Julia's challenge has nothing to do with bees-they must learn how to windsurf with the help of windsurf champion, Nevin Sayre. While Brian and Khalil learn how to become beekeepers.

Trivia[]

One of the few episodes where Ruff wears a bee costume throughout the whole episode.
How Ruff got out of the bee costume was unexplained may have gotten out of it use a knife.
The episode reveals that Brian is scared of bees. When he was three years old, he went to the farm with his cousin and a bee stung him in his ear.
Brian and Khalil gets a challenge card in the mailbox and go fetch.
Julia and Anna gets a challenge card in the mailbox and go fetch.
The second episode where Noah and Taylor stay in Studio G whereas Anna, Brian, Julia, and Khalil go on their challenges. The first episode was Good Dancing and Bad Breath.
- The episode also marks the second time where they scored near-perfectly after getting nine out of ten questions correct during the Half-Time Quiz Show by themselves. The first time was said episode.
The third episode where the FETCHers got near perfect during the Half-Time Quiz Show and won 45 points. The second was Saturday Night with a Slight Fever, and the first was Good Dancing and Bad Breath.
Taylor and Noah got nine out of ten questions correct where they scored 45 points during the Near-Perfect Half-Time Quiz Show. As such, the episode along with Good Dancing and Bad Breath, Saturday Night with a Slight Fever, It's Raining Cats and Dogs, and Grandma Ruffman's Recipe for Success are the only Season 1 episodes where FETCHers score 45 points in the Near-Perfect Half-Time Quiz Show.

Ruff makes a reference to the original Star Wars film, A New Hope when he's steering a rubber duck in a remote-controlled boat towards Anna and Julia says "Red 5, this is Gold Leader. We have our FETCH challengers in sight, and we are zooming in." Red Five being Luke Skywalker and Gold Leader being Dutch Vander.
- Coincidentally, Ruff would later be seen dressed up as Luke Skywalker in Season 5 episode, Game Show Isle, on a tape recorder that says Star Paws, a direct parody of Star Wars.
Anna earned 5 bonus points for mention doggie paddle in front of the camera.
Anna scored 96 points, making her the daily winner. Julia had 91 points. Khalil had 90 points. Brian had 70 points. Taylor and Noah earned 45 points each from Near-Perfect Half-Time Quiz Show.
Anna is the daily winner with 96 points but decided to give her prize to Julia. Julia got a bee costume and has to wear it for 24 hours.
Ruff got an award from DQ, but he had to go on stage in a bee costume, since he couldn't get it off.
